Security

Doubletree Lake Estates is a true gated community with on-site 24 hour security. All entrances are monitored by camera systems with information backup. Homeowners can purchase a car-mounted transponder for automated gate access. Guests can also utilize a self-help keyboard located on the side of the guard house to directly ring the homes of residents who in turn can buzz their guest access. A second, private resident entrance exists at the Northwest corner of the Doubletree Shopping Center. A future entrance will exist into the East side of the Doubletree Lake Estates subdivision from County Line road. Doubletree Lake

Doubletree Lake Estates subdivision surrounds a central, 60-acre, spring fed, fresh water lake designed for peaceful recreation such as pontoon boating, swimming and fishing (stocked game fish included!). Water skiing and tubing are also allowed during limited hours. Beautiful custom homes surround the 13,000 feet of shoreline. The lake is man-made and free of obstacles with an average depth of 15 feet. The HOA monitors water quality and it is known as one of the cleanest lakes in the region. A boat launch is located on the North end providing residents boating access for those who do not have docks.

Walking/Biking Trails

An 8-foot asphalt walking/biking trail surrounds Doubletree Lake and provides scenic views of the lake, roaming topography, and gorgeous architecture.

Playground/Social Space

The Developer recently donated a 5 acre, lake front park area. The HOA is working on a plan to develop it for residents.

Social & Beautification Committees

The homeowners participate in multiple committees to run and improve the Doubletree subdivision. The Social committee schedules events like Spring and Fall gatherings, Easter egg hunts, etc. The Beautification Committee has been very active in improving areas like the front gate, shorelines, and key locations around the Doubletree subdivision.

Shopping/Area Businesses

Residents can take their golf cart to many adjacent shopping/services. The Doubletree shopping center offers a 50,000sf grocery, pharmacy, eye doctor, two neighborhood pubs, family dining, fitness center, dry cleaner, post office, multiple restaurants, auto repair, preschool, daycares, tanning, nail salon, McDonalds, hair salons, karate & dance/tumbling schools, multiple banks, 3 gas stations, dairy queen, subway and more. The Town of Winfield municipal building is adjacent and includes a library and fire station. Neighborhood churches include Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, & Baptist churches.

Water is provided by Indiana American Water Company. City sewers are provided by the Town of Winfield. Gas is provided by Nipsco. Electric is provided by REMC. Telephone and cable are provided by Comcast and AT&T. Trash service is provided by Allied Republic Waste.
